Church communication is different from marketing efforts geared towards generating hype and buzz.

We are not left to conjure up excitement about matters without eternal importance. This is an opportunity to call the people of God to believe in, rest in, and proclaim the realities of the gospel as we engage our communities. This is a work of celebrating Jesus’ gospel, his work in others, his work in us, and in our churches. We celebrate God saving sinners, reconciling marriages, and redeeming gifts for the glorification of Christ.

Church communications, then, should not be seen as a chore, but an opportunity to lift up Christ before our people.

How can you better celebrate what God is doing?
